Welcoming baby massage courses in Beckenham. Come and spend a relaxing hour with your baby and meet other new parents.

Having my children inspired me to start teaching baby massage and create welcoming classes for parents and babies. As a new mum I always wanted to find classes that were calm and non judgemental. I can still remember how it felt to go to a new class without knowing anyone. This is why I keep my class sizes small, and the content simple – building connection through song, movement and massage.

The 5 week course follows the syllabus of the International Association of Infant Massage and is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.

Learning to massage your baby is a lifelong skill that you can use as your baby grows and develops. Baby massage helps by:

• Relieving the discomfort caused by colic, constipation and trapped wind.
• Relaxing your baby and improving their sleep.
• Giving you quality relaxed one to one time with your baby where you can get to know each other better.
• Helping to understand your baby’s cues and how they are communicating with you.

The classes are baby led, friendly and informal, giving parents the opportunity to ask questions and time to chat and make new friends.

All classes are held at The Parklangley Club in Beckenham.  The Parklangley Club is a perfect baby friendly venue with free parking. There is also a café on site where parents can meet for a coffee or lunch before or after the classes.

The 5 week course costs £70 and includes  5 x 1 hour classes, organic massage oil and a booklet of all the massage strokes covered. Mats are also provided.

There is free parking in the club car park or on Wickham Way. The 352 bus runs from Sydenham to Bromley via Beckenham and stops outside the club.

Baby Yoga is a great way to connect with your baby and a balance of activity and relaxation for you both. The classes are suitable for babies from 12 weeks to pre-crawling. 

Baby Yoga perfectly compliments baby massage and expands the benefits of touch with those of movement and relaxation. It is a great follow on course from the 5 week Beckenham Baby Massage course.

Birthlight pioneered what is now known as ‘baby yoga’ as an inclusive set of practices to enhance playful interaction and communication between parent and baby and to promote their healthy development.

During the classes you will learn movements that will develop your baby’s co-ordination, movement and strength. Baby Yoga can improve babies’ digestion and sleep.

The classes are baby-led and relaxed involving lots of songs and rhymes that your baby will love. Come and meet other new parents and learn new ways to relax, stretch and play with your baby.

Baby Talk is a 5 week course for parents with babies aged 6 -12 months.

Baby Talk combines baby yoga and baby signing. Each week you and your baby will join in with a variety of fun activities and songs, all of which will help to develop your child’s listening and communication skills. You will also learn how to sign with your baby and have time to chat to other parents and babies.

Talk & Move is about moving and playing together. It is a great follow on class from Baby Talk.

The sessions focus on developing children’s language skills through movement. Incorporating a variety of songs, rhymes and movement these active classes are fun and interactive for young children.

They are suitable for babies on the move!
